SOAR NWA Hot Air Balloon Fundraising Event Returning to Bentonville
One of my favorite Northwest Arkansas festivals returns this weekend!
Open Avenues will host its 7th annual SOAR NWA event on Friday, Aug. 14th and Saturday, Aug. 15th, 2026 at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Bentonville.
This outdoor event, brought to you by presenting sponsor Sam’s Furniture, is a family-friendly festival with something for everyone. Gates will open for ticketed guests Friday & Saturday evening from 5-10 p.m.
Activities include tethered hot air balloon rides, nighttime balloon glows, live musical entertainment, helicopter rides, wrestling shows, a kid’s zone, car exhibit, beer garden, food trucks, vendor booths and more.
“We’re excited to welcome the community back to SOAR NWA for another incredible weekend of hot air balloons, family fun, and unforgettable memories,” said Kelly Sampson, Chief Development Officer at Open Avenues. “Every ticket purchased helps support the adults with disabilities we serve at Open Avenues, making this event both meaningful and impactful.”
Both one- and two-day ticket options are available. One-day tickets purchased in advance are $18 for adults, $7 for children ages 3–10, and free for children ages 2 and under. Two-day advance-purchase tickets are $35 for adults, $13 for children ages 3–10, and free for children ages 2 and under. New this year, attendees can take advantage of the SOAR 4-Pack Early Bird Special, available through July 31,
2026. The package includes four adult one-day admission tickets for $65 and is valid for one day of admission on the date selected. Ticket prices increase at the gate and are not guaranteed, as sell-out crowds are anticipated. Tethered hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides, and various other activities are available for an additional cost.
Opportunities to learn more, buy tickets, and volunteer are available at soarnwa.com. *Note: All hot air balloon activities are wind and weather permitting for the safety of everyone..
